Digital Citizenship Resources
For Families
Hello Talbott Springs parent partners. This page has a very special purpose and has been set up to assist you and your child in exploring important information and activities about staying safe online. Many of these activities have been part of our Digital Citizenship unit and are the focus of weekly technology lessons. The internet is a powerful learning tool. It can also be an unfriendly and unsafe place if we are unfamiliar with rules and strategies of keeping a positive “digital footprint”.
Our Digital Citizenship unit also addresses learning objectives in several other content areas. The following standards outline what a student will know, do, understand, recall and demonstrate. These statements are taken directly from Howard County Public Schools digital citizenship lesson plan documents.
